thanks so much!  well, after spending some time looking around, i have to say that this page:

pretty much sells the game for me.  i am a little concerned about the whole "you only get 5 characters and it costs $10 for each additional one" thing, but the intentional rejection of typical MMO tropes is a sight for sore eyes.  i gotta carve some time out for this one...

the second one in particular has a lot of keyboard shortcuts which are particularly helpful - on the other hand it was written after the first beta and doesn't look like it's been updated since, so your mileage may vary.

hopefully some in-game tutorials will also cover some of this stuff as well!

i don't know about anyone else but WvWvW (world vs. world) was incredibly confusing to me.  there's a jillion things to know and even the basic concepts are pretty non-intuitive - but someone pointed me to this great link:

this does a great job of explaining it to you!  i'd advise skipping the "advice" part until you've read the rest because it won't mean anything until you know what it's talking about.  good stuff!
