all you need to do is post the raw link to the item on torhead, or you can fancy it up a bit like so

[Echo of XoXaan]

Just fyi, I've found torhead.com to be sort of spotty at best.  They have a few items that don't exist in the game, and many of the more simple things I have used wowhead for (like looking up a vendor's wares or where to find a vendor) are not in torhead yet.  I'm sure it will get better as time goes on, but it's still very much a beta, as the site claims.

I have a feeling most of the sites out there are missing chunks of one kind or another to some degree, I'm not worried

This is because ZAM's websites (wowhead, torhead, etc) usually use an addon to automate data reporting (the wowhead client addon, for example). As Bioware has not (yet?) release API controls for the UI, all the entry in torhead's DB has to be done by hand. Plus things were datamined from the beta, which no longer exist. There's no easy way to clean it up.

On the upside. their website interface and tooltips are sleek and easy to use.
